How does Replenish calculate my daily water goal?

Replenish calculates your personalized daily hydration target during onboarding, based on three inputs:

  • Your weight — the main factor
  • Your sex assigned at birth — affects baseline needs
  • Your activity level — low, moderate, or high

You can override this anytime in Settings → Daily target. If you update your profile later, your goal recalculates automatically (unless you've set a manual goal).

Why aren't I getting reminders?

Reminders are off by default. To enable them:

  • Open Settings
  • Toggle Hydration reminders on
  • Choose your frequency (60, 90, or 120 minutes)

If they're enabled but still silent, check your iOS notification permissions:

iOS Settings → Notifications → Replenish → Allow Notifications

If you previously refused the permission, you'll need to grant it from iOS Settings — Replenish can't ask again from within the app.

I made a mistake — how do I delete or undo a log?

Two ways to fix a wrong entry:

  • Undo last entry — on the main Hydration screen, the "undo last" button removes your most recent log instantly.
  • Delete from history — go to Tracker → Today, find the entry in your timeline, and tap it to remove.
Where is my data stored? Is it backed up?

All your data is stored locally on your iPhone. Replenish has no servers, no cloud sync, and no account system.

This means:

  • ✓ Your data is private — only you have access
  • ✓ The app works fully offline
  • ✗ Data is not backed up automatically
  • ✗ It does not sync between devices

If you reinstall the app or get a new iPhone, your history may not transfer unless restored from a full device backup. Replace this sentence if your shipping app behaves differently.

Can I change my profile after onboarding?

Yes, anytime. Go to Settings and update:

  • First name
  • Weight
  • Sex assigned at birth
  • Activity level

When you change any of these, your daily hydration goal recalculates automatically.

How does the streak counter work?

Your streak counts consecutive days where you logged at least one drink. It's intentionally gentle — we don't punish you for missing a single day, and we don't push notifications to guilt you about it.

The goal is to give you a positive signal about consistency, not pressure.

What's a "Custom" amount? When should I use it?

The +250ml quick-add covers most glasses and bottles. Custom is for when you drink a different amount — a 500ml bottle, a 750ml flask, or a small glass.

Tap Custom, type the amount in ml, and Replenish adds it to your day.

Does Replenish track tea, coffee, or other drinks?

Replenish is currently focused on water only. We chose this deliberately — adding multiple drink types adds complexity without clearly helping the core habit.

If you want to count other hydrating drinks, the simplest workaround is to log them as water (most beverages are 90%+ water anyway).

How do I reset all my data?

Go to Settings → Reset data. You'll get a confirmation prompt — once you confirm, all your logs, profile, and preferences are wiped from your device.

⚠️ This action is permanent and can't be undone.

Is Replenish a medical app?

No. Replenish is a wellness habit-tracking tool. It does not provide medical advice and is not intended to diagnose, treat, or replace professional healthcare guidance.

The hydration goals it calculates are based on general public health guidelines and are intended as a starting point only. If you have a medical condition that affects fluid intake (kidney disease, heart failure, certain medications, etc.), please consult a qualified healthcare provider.

Is Replenish free?

Yes. Replenish is currently free, with no in-app purchases or subscriptions.

We may introduce optional paid features in the future, but the core hydration tracking and reminders will always remain free.
